Mission Statement:
Big Ed's Band Foundation exists to develop the gift of music in
our children by supporting the growth and development of
instrumental music through providing instruments, repair, and
other musical support for Baltimore schools.
The Foundation
is administered by a 100% volunteer
board. All donations are used to fund the grants for area
schools. Using special partnerships such as the relationship we
enjoy with Toad.net (the company that donates the website
hosting), we are able to keep administration cost low. By doing
so the foundation can offer more grants to more schools and help
bring the joy of music to more children.
Dear Big Ed and the Foundation:
I am still in shock over the great
news I received today. Thank you again and again for selecting
Frederick Douglas High School as the first adopted Big Ed's Band
Program. I have worked hard for twenty years at my alma mater
waiting for a day like this to arrive. Our gratitude cannot be
put into words, but we shall endeavor to prove our worthiness
through our music. I thank you all and may God bless you richly
for helping our youngsters reach for the stars.
